A newspaper cartoon has touched hearts around the world, including that of Barbara Bush’s granddaughter.It depicts Barbara Bush’s heavenly reunion with her daughter Robin, who died of leukemia in 1953, when she was 3 years old. Jenna Bush Hager shared the cartoon on her Facebook page.Hager commented that she loved the cartoon, which she apparently assumed had been drawn by a female artist. The cartoon was created by Marshall Ramsey who works at Mississippi Public Broadcasting. It appeared in the Jackson, Mississippi, Clarion Ledger. After seeing the cartoon posted on Hager’s Facebook page, Ramsey commented, “Glad you like it -- that means a lot to me. Your grandmother was like our grandmother. My heart is going out to you and your whole family today. What a special lady she was and what an awesome legacy she left behind. God bless you.” He later commented, “P.S. The family is welcome to the original artwork as well if you'd like it.”Hager tweeted to Ramsey, “This image is such a comfort. It depicts what we know to be true; my precious Ganny reunited with her precious angel. Thanks for this.”Hager’s post of the cartoon has been shared more than 35,000 times.Barbara Bush’s funeral is Saturday in Texas.
