Anyone who's bought a Waitrose Slow Cooked Beef and Ale Pie has been told to return it to stores at once after the wrong filling was put in some of the ones put on sale.

The worse news is that the filling added contains hazelnuts and milk which are not mentioned on the label - posing a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts or an allergy or intolerance to milk.

The Food Standards Agency said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to nuts (hazelnuts) and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.

"Instead return it to a local Waitrose store for a full refund. Alternatively contact Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 881 Option 4."

But Waitrose is far from the only company or brand that has issued a product recall this week, this is what else the Food Standards Agency and Chartered Trading Standards Institute is warning people about:

Food recalls this week:

S&B Golden Curry Medium Hot Sauce Mix also had problems with labelling

Consumer recalls this week:

There were concerns about the electrical adapters of several hair clippers found on sale
  • Little You Baby - Wooden and Silicone Beaded Dummy Clip / Chain (sold via eBay and Etsy) - Little You Baby are recalling the item after a routine safety check showed that some of the items sold may not meet the recommended EU safety standards. Some of the dummy clips sold might have been longer than the allowed 22 cm and this could cause a risk of strangulation. Small parts may break under impact or become detached from the item and these small parts then may become a choking hazard. If you still have this product please remove it from use immediately.
  • Nail Lamp - The product is advertised with a substandard adapter for permanent use with inadequate insulation. As a result, a person could touch the live part of the adaptor and receive an electric shock. The product was sold online.
  • Heatigo Hair Steamer - The product is advertised with a substandard adaptor for permanent use with inadequate insulation. As a result, a person could touch the live part of the adaptor and receive an electric shock. It was sold online, including on Amazon.
  • Shield - Hand Sanitiser Gel - The product contains an insufficient amount of ethanol and propanol. That means it does not kill bacteria or viruses, which could then reach the user, increasing the risk of infection. The product does contain methanol, which is acutely toxic to the central nervous system and the eye. Ingestion or contact with methanol leads to blindness and death. Furthermore, the presence of methanol is not accompanied by the corresponding hazard pictograms and warnings.
  • Robert Welch Designs - Burford / Oblique Wall Mirrors -  There is a risk that the fixing plates could become detached from the mirror, which could lead to the mirror falling from the wall. The product was listed online as 'Kids Girls Simulate Wooden Pink Tea Set Play House Educational Toy Kitchen Tools Toys Baby Early Education Puzzle Tableware Gift'. But the set contains small parts but lacks the compulsory labelling and warning preventing its use by children under three years of age. A small child might play with the toy, put the small part in the mouth and choke. Additionally, the plastic of the packaging is too thin. If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate.
