A Thai man allegedly murdered his girlfriend and hid her body inside a sauna tent in their shared house in the central province of Nakhon Pathom before committing suicide.

Investigating officers from Mueang Nakhon Pathom Police Station arrived at the Nakhon Pathom Hospital at 4pm on Wednesday, March 29 and identified the deceased as 29 year old Kiattichai Wichaita. He was an officer at the Livestock Office District 7 in the province. He reportedly jumped from the 10th floor of the hospital building.

A colleague of Kiattichai told police that he appeared to be very stressed when he came to the office that morning but did not disclose any personal issues to anyone. He then left the office without telling anyone where he was going.

According to ThaiRath, the colleague tried to contact Kiattichai’s girlfriend, 28 year old Natticha Rodrat, to inform her of the tragic news. He was unable to reach her, so he visited her at the house.

Upon arrival, he found that the house was locked but the air conditioning was still on. He attempted to contact Natticha once again but there was no response. Fearing the worst, he contacted the police and requested that they investigate the house.

Police officers and locals in the area decided to break into the house via the front door. Upon entering the house, everyone was shocked by the bloodstains, which started on the first floor and led up to the second.

On the second floor, officers discovered a pool of blood in the bedroom and noticed that the stain stopped in front of a sauna tent. Officers checked inside the tent and found the dead body of Natticha. She had three stab wounds to her neck, chest, and back.

Officers believe that Kiattichai murdered Natticha before committing suicide. They believe the couple had a serious fight on the night of March 28, Kiattichai murdered Natticha, dragged her body from the first floor to the second, and hid her body there.

Several media agencies reported that the couple seemed to love each other very much, and the row that led to the tragedy was unknown.

Natticha apparently took care of the housework and visited the fresh market every morning and evening to prepare meals for her boyfriend. The sticky notes that the two wrote for each other found in several spots in the house were found, such as “Don’t forget to pee before bed” and “Don’t forget the food! “It’s in the fridge.”
