BIDDEFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A 21-year-old Connecticut man died Friday after a motorcycle crash on the Maine Turnpike, according to the Maine State Police.

Zachary Swain of Jewett City was pronounced deceased on scene.

Police said the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of mile marker 32 southbound on the Main Turnpike.

Investigators said Swain failed to negotiate a curved off-ramp and struck the guard rail, ejecting from the motorcycle.

The off-ramp was closed for two hours wile the incident was investigated. Police said Swain was wearing a helmet at the time.
