UNITED STATES (Island News) -- A popular Costco snack is being pulled from shelves due to possible metal contamination.

The Idaho Smokehouse Partners, LLC, which produces the meat snack, put out a voluntary recall on March 20 for more than 29,000 pounds of Chomps Original Beef Stick Mild and Original Turkey Sticks. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service says the company received two complaints of people reporting pieces of metal in the product.

There are no reported injuries or illnesses at this time. If consumers have this product, they are being asked to throw it out or return it to the place of purchase.
