What does $20 million get you in Weston? A two-story tube slide and an indoor basketball court.

If you’ve got $20 million to spend and a one-story indoor slide is on your list of must-haves, an estate has popped on the market in Weston that could meet your needs.

The home, at 67 Byron Road, is listed for $19,850,000, and is billed as “timeless elegance meets modern luxury,” but with a hint of Chuck-E-Cheese thrown in. In addition to the two-story tube slide, there is a Winnie the Pooh-themed bedroom, a sci-fi vibe game room, a Scrabble-themed bathroom, and a wine cellar that looks like the setting for where the spies exchange microfilm in a thriller.

By comparison, the home movie theater and indoor basketball court are relatively subdued, in that they look like a traditional movie theater and basketball court. (Alas, it’s only a half court, but the tube slide takes you there from the game room above.)

The home, which was built in 2002, clocks in with seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a 4-car garage, and a whopping 18,725-square-feet of living space. Perhaps the most noticeable element of the interior is a grand staircase adorned with colorful geometric shapes. “That’s a piece of contemporary art, but that can be removed,” said Maggie Gold Seelig, the realtor who is handling the sale. “That does come with the home but that can either be removed by the next owner and either sold or donated.”

When the property last hit the market, for $17 million back in 2013, Curbed called it a “kooky, cringe-worthy mansion.” The home was then owned by Jeffrey Vinik, a minority owner of the Boston Red Sox who was reportedly moving to be closer to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Florida NHL franchise he’d bought three years prior.

Now that it’s back on the market, Boston Magazine has compared it to the king of bizarro Massachusetts homes, the full-blown amusement park mansion built by the founder of the Yankee Candle Co.

But while the interior is filled with idiosyncratic choices, the exterior is more adult and refined, a blend of modern and traditional with arcing roof lines and an outdoor entertaining area worthy of a resort.

An expansive granite patio leads to two swimming pools, a pool house, and an apple orchard. Plenty of room for the adults to relax and entertain while the kids run around the Willy Wonka mansion inside.

“The house is filled with a lot of whimsy,” Seelig said. “It’s warm, it’s inviting, it can seat a lot of people for entertaining, or for cozy nights in.”
