An animal registry on the horizon

Antigua and Barbuda is hoping to implement an animal registry here, which will assist with determining the animal population.
This, according to Dr. Tubal Edwards, Chief Veterinary Officer who says his department will be seeking the assistance of Belize, who has already implemented the program.
 

This was one of the policies coming out of the 18th annual Caribbean Animal Health Network) CaribVET meeting held here recently to discuss and agree on a number of policies and regulations governing regional trade, the movement of animals, food safety, and emergency preparedness.
The event was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, lands and Barbuda Affairs.
